Quick messy sketch of Amon/Noatok/Noatak (not sure of the spelling). First time drawing Amon, so might look a bit off, but I felt compelled to draw this after watching the scene showing the truth about his past. I can’t help but feel like his fate is quite tragic; after all, he was manipulated and shaped to be how he is thanks to Yakone… Amon will always be one of my favourite characters.
The tragedy of Noatok’s ideals and his entire Equalist scheme is that it was his own father’s rage and insatiable desire for revenge that destroyed their family, not his supposed lie that his family was destroyed by firebenders (as so many other characters’ families had suffered). Firebending seemed to be feared as the ultimate destructible form of bending, but only then did we all know- the form of bending that can heal your wounds can also break and destroy you.
